Pastoral Care
Our community seeks to show the compassionate presence of Jesus Christ, by providing spiritual care and support to those who are ill, hurting, or in need. The Pastoral Care Team is an expression of this care of the community through reaching out to those who are in special need for spiritual care. In serving others we are serving Christ; Jesus cared for all people and he commanded us to love one another: "As I have loved you, so you must love one another so all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:34.35) It is important to continue fellowship with parishioners who are unable to worship with us for whatever reason. They are part of God's Family, our family; and as such our love for one another is the fruit of our relationship to God. Our love for others emerges from our relationship with God; anyone born of God who knows God will love of God. 1John 4:7 The pastoral care team at Grace Church includes the Rev. Noah H. Evans, Cindy Scott, Margaret Smist, Rachael Pettengill-Rasure, Dottie Palladino and Brenda Pearson. |
